alt WHY SAIL COMPETITIVELY?
What better way to learn about your yacht, to learn to sail better, and to get to know your fellow sailors.
The theme for this summer series is to enjoy your sailing and to have fun. The yearly event will consist of a Friday evening series, a Saturday Bricks series and a Winter series.

CRUISING OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the cruising series are

1.       to ensure that everyone enjoys themselves, gets to know other Club mambers and wants to repeat the experience.  This includes all of the crew not just the skipper.

2.       to ensure that racing is serious i.e. that everyone tries as hard as they can according to the Racing Rules, but not so serious that winning becomes more important than having a fun day out.

3.       to introduce people to racing/cruising in a non threatening way and to be inclusive and supportive of newbies including juniors.

4.       to promote understanding of the racing rules and compliance with the safety regulations of Yachting NZ
