Marina update It's heartening to see a growing string of pontoons being floated this week, making up 'Arm B' of the marina. The room we have in the yard for haulout is growing smaller. As before, please do your utmost to make their turn-around on work on your boat as quickly as possible to allow others to follow suit behind you.
Unidentified deposit We received a deposit on 3 September from Westwinds Developments for $275.00 with no other info – we cannot identify the member. If it's you, would you please contact Jenny our secretary on 425 9008.

Elliot 5.9 Championships - Omaha Beach, 26/27 Sept, Champs 5-8 Nov 2015 The 3-man 5.9 Elliot designed yachts will be racing off Omaha Beach Sat 26/Sun 27 September in the fourth and final race of this series. The racing format is windward leewards, often on short courses. Elliot enthusiast (and our Vice Commodore) Peter Marsh, says this is a spectacular event to watch from the beach as the boats often sail in very close. The class attracts top sailors and the racing is hotly contested but with a friendly and helpful social element. As the Elliott 5.9's are a 'class' rather than a club, they need to be hosted by a club, and have chosen SYC to be the hosting club. The 5.9 Elliot Championships will be held out of Omaha Thurs 5-Sun 8 November 2015.
